The multifaceted Aimilios Chliakis returns to the stage to embody all the principal roles of Shakespeare’s drama, in an evocative performance that has impressed both audiences and critics. The production comes back eight years after its last staging. Based on Hamlet by William Shakespeare, in a translation by Giorgos Cheimonas and directed by Aimilios Chliakis and Manolis Dounias, the play illuminates the tragic irony, passions, and inner conflicts of the iconic hero. Joining him on stage, Dimitris Kamarotos creates a live soundscape that serves as an echo of consciousness, an inner voice of Hamlet.
